I give voice to Martin Luther King Jr whose long gone voice I remember as if it were my own. As he faught for our rights, the same way we do now.

He knew the troubles he would get into. Why? Why would he do this for us? He believed. He believed everyone deserved equal rights no matter what skin color. No matter where you came from.

To Him, we were all equal.
To Him, we were all human.
To Him, we were the reason of his dream.

Draft.

Life of pi is considered a work of magical realism since its only one person point of view.  In the novel pi was only one who went to the tragedy. This shows up I was the only one that survived when the ship sank.
Throughout the novel, Pi did not tell his story in linear order. He had a couple flashbacks of his childhood when he was with his family and religion. This shows that was all these flashbacks got the reader confused with the past and the present.
  Magical realism is serious but with fantasy things in it. For example, the seriousness can be everything Pi went through and the fantasy can be being on the boat with a wild animal amd going to a cannibal island.

Magical realism?

There was parts in the novel that were magical realism. For example, when Orange juice floated on bananas or when the fish literally flue and the island with cannibal trees.  All these things made the story magical realism.  The story was told from told from one side which was Pi's side of the story. Since he was the only one who experienced this "tragedy," we don't really have another side and don't know if the story is true. When Pi told his story he didn't go in linear order.  He had a couple of flash backs of his religion amd when he was a kid. This novel could be both serious and fantasy. The seriousness couls be everything Pi went through with hik losing his parents and brother. The fantasy of it could be being on the boat with an wild animal and going to a cannibal island.

Martels message

Martel gets his message across by representing Pi as Richard Parker. Pi had to taim himself in order to understand everything tjat was happening to him.

Magical realism?

The story could of been magical realism to some extent.  Maybe the author wanted to make the story a true story but also wanted it to be a fanticy in a way by representing Pi as Richard Parker. But we all know there is no such thing as a carnival island. This os what I mean by "to a certain extent."

Writers

Most people write to express their feelings. Maybe they don't want to say something out loud so they write it. Some people write because they enjoy it. I haven't meet one single writer who writes just because they have too. They become better writer's from their own mistakes. I like Ellan Hopkins because her writing is inspiring.  It tells me that I shouldn't do what Christina did.  Me as a writer?  I really don't see it because sometimes I can't let out all my thoughts. I get stuck. When I was tought to write they would tell me "get to the point," I got so use to it tjat now I can't write enough.  I would say I'm a blocked writer because I don't let my thoughts out. I would lile to become a better writer so I can express myself better. I like to do expository writings because its easier to come up with ideas to write about. I'm scared of narrative because I can never write a good story. I learned that if I jist write everything I'm thinking I might become a better writer

Animal or human?

Are we animals or are we humans?
We look different but are very alike.
We're so far apart but yet very close.
Don't you see.
We are the same
Humans think like animals.
Animals think like humans.
We both feel, we both breathe.
We both live on this world.
We both take care of the youngs ones.
We both feed the family.
Yet, no one see's it like that.
Why?
They live in the wild.
We live in the city.
They walk on four leg.
We walk on two legs.
We all have the same feelings.
We all have the same meaning.
Why can't people just see that.

Elephant or hat?

If I had to chose one tjat would make an interesting story it would have to be the hat. I would chose the hat because it would have a better way to tell a story. "The story of the traveling hat." something people you want to read. It not everday you hear about a hat traveling the world.

Pisine? Pi?

Pi is a number that goes on forever. No one is exact, but we know it exist. Pi describes a circle. Explains the the circumference of a circle to it's radias. As i said pi is known to go on forever which is probably why Marcel named pi Pi. No one will know Pi's exact story, all we know is that it happened. Pi's life has no pattern to it just like pi doesn't have a certain pattern to it's numbers. The story might actually be telling us that Pi's life is indefinite.

I go back to May 1937

I wonder if the speaker was an accident? What made the speaker want to stop the marriage? I want to stop them from getting married but I don't want to? How are we suppose to make sense of this? Maybe the speaker wants us to think about it... How his life as a kid was horrible and how his parents didn't pay attention to him. All these thoughts we have but don't know the answer too. We will never find out, we will just keep on wondering...

Reading..

Many people read for fun or because they have too. These thing can make you a reader, if you read for fun or a lot. To become a better reader you have to read more than you already do. One of my favorite author is Ellan Hopkins because her stories give people life lessons. I really don't consider myself a reader because I really don't read much and when I do read people get surprised. I think i learned hot to read when i was in 1st grade. Im a in between reader because i'm not either passionate or blocked into reading. I would like to start reading more and get interested in books. I like reading books that are funny or serious with life lessons. I don't like reading books that have big vocabulary because then i get lost and don't know whats going on. I learned that i am wiling to read i just need to commit myself to do it.  

The one who walked away..

I think what he did was just dumb! He left the poor girl hanging after she made the first move. Obviously if she made the first move was because she liked you! Now look, you are all forever alone. Thats what you get for walking away!
